Sinus Lift · Pompano Beach

Sinus lift surgery, so an implant can fit.

Upper back teeth sit close to the sinus. If you've lost bone there, an implant has nowhere to anchor. A sinus lift gently elevates the sinus floor and packs in graft material — creating the height needed for a stable implant.

What to Expect

Same-day clarity. No surprises.

Every patient gets a written plan with 3D imaging before anything is scheduled. You will know what is happening and what it costs before you commit.

  1. Step 1

    3D imaging + planning

A CBCT scan shows the exact sinus floor location, the bone you have, and what you need. We measure precisely how much lift is required.

  2. Step 2

    Technique selection

For smaller lifts, a crestal approach (through the future implant site) works. For larger lifts, a lateral window (through the side wall) gives better access. We pick what fits your anatomy.

  3. Step 3

    The procedure

Performed in-office under your choice of anesthesia. The sinus membrane is gently elevated, graft material is placed, and the site is closed. Most patients are home within two hours.

  4. Step 4

    Healing + implant placement

New bone needs 4–9 months to integrate before implants can be placed. We monitor with imaging. Same surgeon places the implant when the bone is ready.

Why Patients Choose Us

A different kind of oral-surgery experience.

Trained at the level required to operate in a hospital. Delivered in a private, comfortable office.

Hospital-Privileged Surgeon

Sinus surgery requires precise anatomical knowledge. Yours is performed by a board-certified oral surgeon with hospital-OR credentials.

CBCT-Guided Planning

We do not guess at sinus floor location. Every patient gets a 3D scan that maps the anatomy in millimeters before we operate.

All Levels of Anesthesia

Local, IV sedation, or general anesthesia — your choice. Most patients prefer IV sedation for this procedure.

One Surgeon, Start to Finish

The surgeon who performs the sinus lift is the surgeon who places your implant 4–9 months later. Continuity of care from start to finish.

Common Questions

Answered.

Do I really need a sinus lift? +
If you're missing upper back teeth and an implant has been recommended, often yes. The 3D scan tells us in millimeters how much bone height you have between the ridge and your sinus floor. Below about 5 millimeters, a lift is required for a stable implant.
How long until I can get the implant? +
Typically 4–9 months of healing after the sinus lift before implants can be placed. Larger lifts (lateral window technique) take longer. We monitor with imaging during that window.
Will I feel different in my sinus afterward? +
Most patients have mild congestion or pressure for a few days, similar to a head cold. Long-term, there is no impact on breathing or sinus function. The graft becomes part of the upper-jaw bone over time.
Is the procedure painful? +
Most patients describe it as similar to a multi-tooth extraction. We send you home with prescriptions for pain and infection prevention. Many patients sleep through it under IV sedation.
How much does it cost? +
Varies by technique and case complexity. Most patients are in the $1,500–$3,000 range for the lift itself, with insurance often covering a portion. The implant placement is quoted separately. We give you an itemized written estimate at the consult.
